<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material made of an olivine type lithium transition metal oxide and having a high discharge capacity. <P>SOLUTION: This olivine type lithium transition metal oxide has a composition expressed by Li<SB POS="POST">x</SB>(Fe<SB POS="POST">1-y</SB>M1<SB POS="POST">y</SB>)<SB POS="POST">1-z</SB>M2<SB POS="POST">z</SB>PO<SB POS="POST">4</SB>(wherein, x, y, z satisfy 0.9<x<1.3, 0≤y≤1, and 0≤z<0.3; M1 denotes at least one kind of metal element selected from a group consisting of Mn, Co and Ni; and M2 denotes at least one kind of metal element selected from a group consisting of Mo, Mg, Zr, Ti, Al, Ce and Cr.), and comprises secondary particles whose average secondary particle size is ≥2 to ≤15 μm, and whose apparent density of powder is ≥0.5 to ≤1.7 g/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>, and primary particles constituting the secondary particles have a crystallite diameter of ≤80 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
