<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether a battery has enough remaining battery power to activate an alarm by applying to a voltage detection circuit a current corresponding to a current flowing when an alarm part rings, detecting a voltage and comparing it with a threshold, when performing battery exhaustion determination processing. <P>SOLUTION: For an alarm 100 with a battery 1 as the power source which includes state detection parts 40, 50 for detecting a state change based on a physical phenomenon and a control part 10 for causing an alarm part to output an alarm on the basis of an output signal of the state detection part, a battery exhaustion determination is made to confirm whether the battery has enough remaining battery power so that the alarm 100 can perform a normal operation in a fire. In the battery exhaustion determination, a test resistor is connected to the battery and a current corresponding to that flowing when the alarm part 60 rings is applied and a voltage of the battery is detected so as to compare it with a threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
