<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time and a work load required for failure recovery processing in a duplex server device. <P>SOLUTION: A backup disk 30 stores a backup file 31 synchronized with an active system file 12X of an active system server device 10X, a compressed backup file 32 of the backup file 31, a first patch list 33 of the backup file 31, and a second patch list 34 of the compressed backup file 32. After exchanging a system server device in which failure has occurred, control means 22 of a backup device 20 extracts difference between the first patch list 33 and the second patch list 34, extracts a patched program corresponding to a patch for the extracted difference from the backup file 31, and transmits the extracted patched program and the compressed backup file 32 to the exchanged server device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
