<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for facilitating comprehension of a broadcasting content on a channel, before choosing the channel for viewing. <P>SOLUTION: The receiver includes: broadcast wave reception means for receiving a broadcast wave on a predetermined frequency; channel information reception means for acquiring digital broadcasting channel information associated with a broadcast wave received by the broadcast wave reception means; genre information acquisition means for acquiring genre information according to the channel information acquired by the channel information reception means; and output means for outputting the genre information, acquired by the genre information acquisition means, associated with the channel information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
