COOLING AND LUBRICATING STRUCTURE FOR USE ON PISTON ROD OF RECIPROCATING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

A cooling and lubricating structure for use on a piston rod of a reciprocating internal combustion engine. A piston skirt (6) is provided with a pin hole. A connecting rod (9) is hinged to the piston skirt (6) via a piston pin (7). The connecting rod (9) and the piston pin (7) have arranged therebetween a connecting rod bushing (3). The piston pin (7) and the pin hole have arranged therebetween a piston bushing (5). The piston skirt is provided on an inner wall thereon with a skirt oil hole (13). The skirt oil hole (13) has arranged therein a nozzle (10). A piston head (1) has arranged therein an annular oil collecting trap (2). The annular oil collecting trap (2) has arranged at an opening thereof an annular spring piece (4). The spring piece (4) has opened thereon an oil inlet gap (8). The oil inlet gap (8) corresponds to the skirt oil hole (13). The annular oil collecting trap (2) is provided on an inner wall thereof with an oil supply hole (11). The annular oil collecting trap (2) is in communication with a space above the connecting rod (9) via the oil supply hole (11). The connecting rod (9) is provided on the top part thereof with a connecting rod oil hole (12). The connecting rod bushing (3) is provided thereon with a bushing oil hole (14) correspondingly in communication with the connecting rod oil hole (12). The connecting rod bushing (3) is provided on an inner circumferential wall thereof with a semi-circular bushing lubricating oil passage (15) on a same circumference with the bushing oil hole (14). The present invention provides an inventive structure and a great lubrication effect and ensures reliable operation of the piston connecting rod for extended period of time.
