The endoscope washing and sterilizing device (1) has: a washing tank (4) capable of accommodating multiple endoscopes (100); a holding mesh (111) that is provided inside the washing tank (4) and defines the positions of the multiple endoscopes (100) that are stowed and set inside the washing tank (4); and an endoscope information readout unit (64). The endoscope information readout unit (64) is provided inside the washing tank (4) and is provided in an area that is exposed to the upper end of the washing tank (4) so that when one endoscope (100A) is set in the washing tank (4) with the position thereof defined by the holding mesh (111), the readout unit is not covered by the one endoscope (100A).
