<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous black ink composition excellent in print density, light resistance, ozone resistance, moisture resistance, water resistance of recorded matter, and sensor-responsive characteristics when used for inkjet recording or writing utensils, and also good in storage stability as a recording liquid because of excellent dissolvability; and an inkjet recording method and a colored body using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: This aqueous black ink composition contains a near infrared-absorptive iron tri(7-sulfo-3-nitroso-2-naphthoxide) or its salt as a pigment component.
