<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device that can obtain a lighting effect similar to an incandescent bulb. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device 10 includes a light emitting diode 12 as a light source and a tear-drop shaped transparent body 20 formed of a light transmitting material. The tear-drop shaped transparent body 20 includes a bottom part 20b into which light emitted from the light emitting diode 12 enters, a side face part 20c formed so that the light incident from the bottom part 20b may be reflected totally, and a top end part 20a where the light reflected totally at the side face part 20c is image-formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
