<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect-catching device having a compact and simple structure, which can secure a sufficient catching area to immediately catch approaching insects without waiting for flying thereof so that catching efficiency can be remarkably improved. <P>SOLUTION: The insect-catching device includes: a frame-like body case 1 having a front opening 2 by widely opening a front surface; a light guide plate 4 having an LED unit 3 on its side face, which is installed in the body case 1; and a translucent adhesive sheet 5 which is superposed on the light guide plate 4.
