This utility model relates to the field of security assurance in telephone communication systems, preferably in mobile communication. This utility model concerns access security assurance, for example, by user identification on the basis of biometric data. The portable mobile communication device comprises a keyboard and is equipped with means for reading a user's biometric parameters and a means for setting an identification mode, which means are linked to a controllable means for inserting impressions of a biometric parameter into a signal transmitted by a transceiver of the portable mobile communication device. The means for setting an identification mode is capable of setting an identification mode on the basis of a first biometric parameter, an identification mode on the basis of a second biometric parameter and an identification mode on the basis of the two biometric parameters. The means for reading a user's biometric parameters is in the form of a means for scanning the iris of a human eye and/or a human finger. The device is in the form of a cellular telephone.
