PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition for removing radioactive iodine is provided to quickly and effectively wash and remove radioactive iodine stained on the skin or hair. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for removing radioactive iodine contains a cleansing ingredient and water. The cosmetic composition further contains 0.1-20 wt% of activated charcoal containing potassium iodide(KI) or triethylene diamine(TEDA). The cosmetic composition for removing radioactive iodine contains: a chelate compound which absorbs the radioactive iodine; an ionic surfactant which separates the radioactive iodine from the surface; an anti-reattachment agent which prevents reattachment of the radioactive iodine to the surface; an oxidant; and an organic solvent.
