PURPOSE: A push service providing system capable of performing selective authentication according to access methods of a client and a providing method thereof are provided to prevent the consumption of resources necessary for authentication in accessing to push service apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A push service apparatus(400) has access information connectable to wireless network(200) or internet network(300). A client terminal(100) inquires access information connectable to the push service apparatus. The client terminal confirms access network and selects access information based on the access network. The client terminal uses selected access information and requires connection to the push service apparatus. The push service apparatus accredits a client terminal connecting through the access information. The push service apparatus omits an authentication procedure for the client terminal connecting through the wireless network.
