<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester in which the center of gravity of a machine body is set near the center in the lateral width direction of the traveling machine body 1 by approaching an engine 7 to a threshing apparatus 9 while improving the maintenance operation efficiency of a traveling hydraulic pump 65. <P>SOLUTION: The combine harvester includes: a reaping device 3; a threshing apparatus 9 having a threshing cylinder 21; the traveling machine body 1 having a traveling part 2; and a hydraulic transmission device 66 having the traveling hydraulic pump 65 and a traveling hydraulic motor 69, wherein the engine 7 is mounted to the traveling machine body 1 and the output of the engine 7 is transmitted to the traveling part 2 through the hydraulic transmission device 66. The engine 7 is mounted on the upper surface of the traveling machine body 1 at the side of the threshing apparatus 9.
