Disclosed are a pilot signal sending method and device. The method includes: generating a sub-frame which bears a user specific pilot signal, wherein the sub-frame includes one or more resource blocks, with the resource block including a plurality of resource elements in a symbol-subcarrier plane, and the locations of the resource elements within the symbol-subcarrier plane being determined by an OFDM symbol and a subcarrier, wherein a first part of the user specific pilot signal is borne within the resource elements of the initial one or more OFDM symbols in the resource block, and a second part of the user specific pilot signal is borne within the resource elements of the other OFDM symbols in the resource block; and sending the sub-frame bearing the user specific pilot signal. Using the present invention a user specific pilot signal can be borne on the resource elements of initial OFDM symbols of the resource block of a sub-frame, improving the precision of channel estimation. |
