This data management device (1) is provided with: a data storage unit (32) for storing a plurality of data units including information of an apparatus (10); a state detection unit (21) for detecting the state of the apparatus (10); a data selection unit (22) which, by referring to selection rules associating states of the apparatus (10) with types of the data, selects data that includes information conforming with the apparatus (10) under the detected state from the data storage unit (32); and a data management unit (23) which stores the selected data in an IC tag (2) of the apparatus (10).
