AN APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR DISPLAYING A 3-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE

PURPOSE: A three dimensional image display apparatus and a method are provided to prevent a moire effect by reducing a pattern which shows brightness and dark space regularly, among the three dimensional image displays. CONSTITUTION: Red, green and blue subpixel is arranged in a line direction of a display panel(410). The sub pixel of the same color is arranged in a column direction of the display panel. A stereoscopic image filter(420) forms a transmitting area(421) and a non-transmitting area(422) in the front side of the display panel. Based on the number allocated to the sub pixel, a control unit determines a viewpoint image which is displayed in the sub pixel among the two of viewpoint images.
