<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact feeder system capable of highly precisely detecting metal foreign matter without changing an exciting frequency of a feeder coil installed at a feeder area. <P>SOLUTION: An oscillation signal is transmitted from a metal detection circuit of a basic power unit circuit 4 provided for each feeder area of a feeder system 1 to a modulation circuit 20 of an apparatus E. The modulation circuit 20 of the apparatus E generates an on-off signal from the oscillation signal and changes the duty of an on-off signal based on the presence of a metal piece to modulate the on-off signal into a modulated wave signal, thereby transmitting the modulated wave signal to the metal detection circuit. The metal detection circuit of the feeder system 1 demodulates the modulated wave signal and calculates the duty of the demodulated signal, that is, an on-off signal, thereby to determine the presence of a metal piece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
