<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component-mounting system and a component-mounting method allowing an operator to accurately recognize a suction nozzle, the buffer function of which with respect to a shaft member is reduced, so as to swiftly take appropriate measures. <P>SOLUTION: A mounting head 24 calculates a displacement amount of each component 4 mounted on a substrate 2 from a target mounting position P0 (ST15). The time sequential change of displacement amount from the target mounting position P0 of a component 4 of each suction nozzle 34 is calculated based on the calculated displacement amount from the target mounting position P0 of the component 4 on the substrate 2, and a predetermined identifier and mounting order of the suction nozzle 34 relevant to each component 4 on the substrate 2 (ST16). A suction nozzle, the displacement amount of the target mounting position P0 of the component 4 of which gradually increases, is identified based on the time sequential change of the calculated displacement amount from the target mounting position P0 of the component 4 of each suction nozzle 34, is identified (ST17).
