<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium metal ion battery capable of sufficiently utilizing the capacity of a negative electrode containing magnesium and the like for the cell reaction and comprising a positive electrode material capable of accommodating the capacity of the negative electrode containing magnesium and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The magnesium metal ion battery comprises a negative electrode 10 composed of magnesium or a magnesium alloy, a positive electrode collector 11 composed of a conductive material on which a positive electrode catalyst layer containing at least active carbon, manganese, and metal powder is provided, and an electrolytic solution composed of a solution of a polyvalent carboxylate in which the negative electrode and the positive electrode collector are immersed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
