发明名称 MANUFACTURING METHOD OF WC SINTERED-BODY FOR FRICTION STIR WELDING(FSW) TOOL
摘要 PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a tungsten carbide sintered body for a friction stir welding tool is provided to obtain a homogeneous organization of a high melting point, having high density, high strength, high wear resistance, in a short time with a single process, and reduce processing unit cost. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a tungsten carbide sintered body for a friction stir welding tool comprises: a step of filling a mold(200), which is formed with a graphite material, with WC powder; a step of mounting the mold filled with the WC powder inside the chamber(110) of a spark plasma sintering machine; a step of vacuumizing inside the chamber; a step of molding the WC powder, on which a certain pressure is maintained inside the mold, by heating the WC powder to a final target temperature according to a predetermined temperature rising pattern; and a step of cooling inside the chamber with maintaining the pressure inside the mold. The final target temperature is 1410 to 2000 Deg.C. The grain size of the WC powder in the step of filling the mold is 10 nm to 100 micrometers. The method further includes a pre-pressurizing process such that the WC powder is filled inside the mold, the WC powder is pre-pressurized with pressure of 1400 to 1600 kg by a molding press, and then the pressure is maintained for 5 to 15 minutes.
