PURPOSE: A dual-reservoir type tidal power generation method and a system are provided to perform continuous power generation by adding a supplementary power generation step when the power stopped for supplementing or draining water. CONSTITUTION: A dual-reservoir type tidal power generation method is as follows. Power is generated using a difference of a water level of an open sea(S) and two seat water reservoirs in an inland area(L). A water path(300) is formed between a high reservoir(100) and a low reservoir(200) and connected to the opening sea. In a supplementary power generation step, sea water flows from the high water level reservoir to the low water level reservoir so that electricity is generated.
