<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can suppress influence given to frame width of a front cover and fix a panel. <P>SOLUTION: Plate-like slide mounting metal fitting 3b is engaged with a front cover 1 to fix a liquid crystal panel 2 with a panel contact part 31 of the slide mounting metal fitting 3b, and a back cover 5 is fixed to a tap hole 33 with a screw 33A. Consequently, a fixing boss for mounting the back cover 5 is not required to the front cover 1, and width b, which is obtained by subtracting an overlapping part of the liquid crystal panel 2 from width of a frame part, can be made smaller.
