<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for solubilizing alkaline earth metal carbonate and a solubilizing agent using a microorganism or a cultured product thereof. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the method for solubilizing alkaline earth metal carbonate, in which a microorganism belonging to a specific group (Corynebacterium, genus Bacillus, Ochrobactrum) which can solubilize alkaline earth metal carbonate and a culture solution thereof are made to act to solubilize the alkaline earth metal carbonate.
