<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device, a program update method and a program which can appropriately execute update processing of a program. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation device capable of executing a program and updating the program comprises: update means which stores a program before update or a copy of the program before update, generates an updated program by executing update processing of the program and sets the updated program as an activation object; activation success/failure determination means which determines whether or not the updated program is successfully activated and stores information showing the result of the activation in a storage device; and restoration means which confirms whether or not the updated program is successfully activated on the basis of the information showing the result of the activation, and sets the stored program before the update as the activation target if the activation was not successful. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
