<p>A spool valve includes a housing defining a bore that extends along a longitudinal axis. A spool is disposed within the bore and is moveable between a first position for directing a hydraulic fluid along a first flow path and a second position for directing the hydraulic fluid along a second flow path. The spool includes a supply portion disposed between a first land portion and a second land portion. The supply portion includes an outer surface that defines a truncated pseudosphere for smoothly directing the flow of the hydraulic fluid across the surface of the spool.</p> |
