The tool (10) has first and second disc-like side pieces (11-1, 11-2) with first and second cavities (12-1, 12-2) for formation of first and second side rings of a bearing cage, respectively, where the second side ring is axially spaced from the first side ring. An axial intermediate arrangement (14) is arranged between the side pieces for molding of axial bar elements between the side rings. The bar elements are arranged adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction and form a rolling member pocket of the bearing cage. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a one-piece bearing cage for a roller bearing.
