The mirror (26) has multiple suction and/or outflow openings (34-36) provided in a bottom portion of an edge (32) for passing tempered and/or conditioned air, where the edge surrounds a mirror surface (30). Inlet and/or inflow openings (39) are provided for passing the tempered and/or conditioned air. The mirror is mounted in middle between a driver's seat and a front passenger seat at or above a windscreen. The outflow openings are equipped with guide elements such as guidance slats such that the guide slats are arranged vertically opposite to the outflow openings. An independent claim is also included for a motor car.
