<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce alignment failure regions formed when a rubbing process is performed with respect to a substrate with columnar spacers installed thereon in a liquid crystal display panel and to provide a liquid crystal display panel with a high contrast ratio. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel related to the present invention is configured by bonding a color filter substrate on which a plurality of color filters is partitioned by a black matrix and two-dimensionally arranged and a TFT array substrate on which TFT arrays are arranged to each other through columnar spacers for holding a cell gap. In the liquid crystal display panel, when the color filter substrate is viewed in a plan view, the columnar spacers are positioned on the black matrix and shapes of the columnar spacers are long shapes along one arrangement direction of the plurality of color filters. As viewed from other arrangement direction of the color filters, the shapes of the columnar spacers have such lengths as to cause the color filters to be hidden by the columnar spacers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
