<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic power unit capable of constantly imparting a sufficient rotative force to a waterwheel without being affected by the quantity of water of a river, and stably generating electric power even with a small quantity of the water. <P>SOLUTION: The hydraulic power unit includes: an overfall part 20 into which the running water from an upper stage falls intensively; an overfall channel 21 which is continuously located at the lower end of the overfall part 20, and allows falling water to fall to the waterwheel 25; and a discharge channel 36 which continuously extends from the overfall channel 21, and discharges the falling water from the overfall channel 21 downstream. The overfall part 20 includes a water-storage region which is defined by an assumed upper-limit water level and an assumed lower-limit water level. The overfall channel 21 includes a water-volume adjustment plates 41 above the waterwheel 25. By adjusting an opening width of the overfall channel 21 with the water-volume adjustment plates 41, the quantity of the water is kept between the assumed upper-limit water level and the assumed lower-limit water level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
