FILLED POLYMER COMPOSITION AND CO-EXTRUDED PANEL OBTAINABLE THEREFROM

The present invention relates to a polymer composition containing polycarbonate with a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 24,000 to 33,000 and 5.0 wt% to 20 wt% (relative to the total quantity of the composition) hollow glass spheres with an alkalinity of less than 1.0 meq/g. The subject matter of the present invention also includes co-extruded panels in which the co-extrusion layer contains this polymer composition, as well as molded articles produced therefrom, more particularly containers and luggage items, particularly suitcases. Panels that can be obtained with the polymer composition according to the invention have a high degree of mechanical stability, high resistance to scratching, appealing surface feel, and an outstanding homogeneous exterior visual impression. The present invention further pertains to methods for producing these polymer compositions and a method for producing the panels according to the invention.
