摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for machining a crank shaft for a large-sized ship are provided to improve work efficiency and to reduce installation space and installation costs by reducing time for machining a crank shaft. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus and a method for machining a crank shaft for a large-sized ship comprises a first machining device(200) and a second machining device(300). The first machining device comprises a first work bed(202), a first journal machining unit(240), and a first carriage bed(204). One end of a first crank shaft(206) is rotatably inserted to the first work bed so that the first work bed can support the first crank shaft. The first journal machining unit machines a crank journal(260) of the first crank shaft. A transferring unit of the first carriage bed transfers a pin turning unit(250) by which a crank pin(270) is machined. The second machining device comprises a second work bed(302), a second journal machining unit(340), and a second carriage bed(304). A second crank shaft(306) is rotatably inserted in the second work bed. The second journal machining unit machines a crank journal of the second crank shaft. The second carriage bed is connected to the first carriage bed by the transferring unit and transfers the pin turning unit.
