<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing a fluorite crystal capable of heightening a transmittance of a product (fluorite crystal) without removing a part of crystal-grown or solidified calcium fluoride. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing a fluorite crystal includes: a melting-solidification step of melting a mixture of a calcium fluoride powder and a scavenger, solidifying the melted mixture by cooling to obtain a melt-solidified body A, shattering the total amount of the obtained melt-solidified body A into the debris of the melt-solidified body, and melting a mixture of the total amount of debris of melt-solidified body and the scavenger, and solidifying the mixture by cooling to obtain a melt-solidified body B; a fragmentation step of shattering the total amount of melt-solidified body B obtained in the melting-solidification step into the debris of the melt-solidified body; a crystal growth step of melting the debris of the melt-solidified body, cooling to grow a crystal and to obtain a fluorite crystal; and a heat treatment step of heat-treating the fluorite crystal obtained in the crystal growth step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
