<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure data held in a volatile memory to be loaded on a controller module without increasing power capacity of a backup unit even when power of a RAID system is interrupted. <P>SOLUTION: In a data control method concerning this embodiment, a controller generates, on the basis of the data held in the volatile memory, data for error confirmation of the data; the data held in the volatile memory is transferred to a nonvolatile memory along with the generated data for error confirmation; when an error is generated in writing of the transferred data in a specified storage area in the nonvolatile memory, if the transferred data can be restored, the content of the data for error confirmation transferred to the nonvolatile memory is changed, and if the transferred data cannot be restored, information showing that there is an error in the specified storage area is recorded in management information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
