<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a glycidyl ether in which a desalting step can be performed by simple filtration, so that the method is advantageous in regard to process and cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the production method for obtaining a glycidyl ether by reacting an alcohol (B) represented by formula (1) or (2) with an epihalohydrin (C) in the presence of an alkali metal hydroxide (A), a reaction step in which the content of water is adjusted to 2-5 wt.% on the basis of the weights of (A), (B) and (C) and the reaction is initiated is included. In the formulae, Q represents the residue of a non-reducing di- or tri-saccharide; OA and AO represent an oxyalkylene group; n is 5-30; t is 2-4; Y represents the reaction residue of a diglycidyl ether; and the total number of OA and AO contained in (B) is 20-80 per one (Q). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
