<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can detect a position and motion of an object to be detected even when the object to be detected is not in contact with a display panel. <P>SOLUTION: A display device comprises a display panel where a photosensor and a thin film transistor including an oxide semiconductor layer are arranged. The display device detects a shadow of an object to be detected, which is projected on the display panel and by the object to be detected blocking ambient light, with the photosensor when the object to be detected approaches the display panel. By detecting a position and motion of the shadow, a position and motion of the object to be detected is detected so that the object to be detected can be detected even when the object to be detected is not in contact with the display panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
