<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotation angle (polarization direction) detector for a rotational polarization filter that can be manufactured easily at a low cost and that enables easy and high-accuracy detection of a rotation angle (polarization direction) of the rotational polarization filter, and obtain an imaging device equipped therewith. <P>SOLUTION: A rotation angle detector for a rotational polarization filter comprises: a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element that are arranged opposite each other; a polarization direction setting member that is arranged on an optical path between the light-emitting element and the light-receiving element in a manner to set the polarization direction at a specific direction; a rotational polarization filter that is supported on the optical path between the light-emitting element and the light-receiving element rotatably so as to change the polarization direction; and detection means for detecting a rotation angle of the rotational polarization filter on the basis of output of light that is emitted from the light-emitting element, passes through the polarization direction setting member and the rotational polarization filter, and is received by the light-receiving element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
