<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic display sheet excellent in display quality and long-term reliability, and further to provide an electrophoretic display device, a manufacturing method thereof and an electronic apparatus provided with the electrophoretic display device. <P>SOLUTION: An electrophoretic display device 200 comprises: a counter substrate 2 that has a transparent electrode; an element substrate 1 that is opposite to the counter substrate 2 and has pixel electrodes 12; partition walls 41 for partitioning a gap between the counter substrate 2 and the element substrate 1 into a plurality of cells 40 as viewed in a plan view; a dispersant 32 containing electrophoretic particles 33 and 34 with which the plurality of cells 40 is filled; and soft metal films 23 that are interposed between the counter substrate 2 and the partition walls 41 and have a small specific resistance. The metal films 23 are electrically connected to the transparent electrode; and therefore, the transparent electrode is caused to have a low resistance and flexibility of the transparent electrode is enhanced.
