METHOD FOR ASSESSING NUMBNESS OR SPONTANEOUS PAIN USING ANIMAL

[Problem] To provide an assessment method which can assess a sensation of numbness and spontaneous pain, which cannot be assessed in experiments of behaviors of animals so far, in an electrophysiological manner. [Solution] The characteristic feature of the method resides in a matter that numbness or spontaneous pain is assessed using the firing pattern of an action potential generated in a peripheral nerve in an animal.
