BACK- SHEETS FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULES

A back sheet for a photovoltaic module having a long lifetime even under extreme weather conditions is described. Furthermore, the back sheet according to the present invention is inexpensive. A method for the production of back sheets for photovoltaic modules is further described. The back sheet according to the present invention comprises an outer layer (1) adapted to form the exterior side of the photovoltaic module and an inner layer (2) in direct contact with the outer layer (1). The outer layer (1) comprises an acrylic polyol resin cross-linked with an alkoxy melamine. The outer layer (1) may further comprise at least a UV filter and/or one or more light stabilizers. Moreover, the outer layer (1) may further comprise titanium dioxide (Ti02).
