<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-free piezoelectric material that does not undergo depolarization in a wide operating temperature range and has a good piezoelectric constant. <P>SOLUTION: This piezoelectric material includes a perovskite-type metal oxide represented by general formula (1): (Ba<SB POS="POST">1-x</SB>Ca<SB POS="POST">x</SB>)<SB POS="POST">a</SB>(Ti<SB POS="POST">1-y</SB>Zr<SB POS="POST">y</SB>)O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>(where 1.00≤a≤1.01; 0.125≤x≤0.175; and 0.055≤y≤0.090) as a main component, and Mn is contained in the metal oxide, wherein the Mn content relative to the 100 pts.wt. metal oxide is ≥0.02 to ≤0.10 pts.wt. on a metal basis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
