<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implantable prosthesis and a shell for the implantable prosthesis. <P>SOLUTION: The implantable prosthesis 8 includes: (i) an outer shell 4 having an inner surface and an outer surface and adaptable to bring into contact with tissue inside a body; (ii) a biocompatible filler layer 6 housed in the outer shell; (iii) a foamed material inner layer 8 having an inner shell and the outer shell, wherein the inner shell and the outer shell substantially prevents a pore of the formed material from being filled by a biocompatible filler; (iv) the layers (ii) and (iii) optionally repeated more than once; and (v) the biocompatible filler housed in the inner shell of the foamed material layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
