<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for ensuring an effective contact without including air, a liquid and foreign matter between a tissue characterization sensor and tissue. <P>SOLUTION: The device for substance-characterization includes a first mechanism accompanying with a structure and configured to apply first force to a substance in order to fix the substance to the structure so as to substantially immobilize the substance and a second mechanism accompanying with the structure and configured to press a sensor against an outer surface of the immobilized substance, thereby applying second force to the immobilized substance, wherein at least a component of the first force is in opposition to at least a component of the second force, pressing the immobilized substance against the sensor, and pressing the sensor against the immobilized substance, bringing about an effective contact between the sensor and the immobilized substance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
