<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective film for a polarizing film excellent in heat resistance, moisture resistance, scratch resistance, mechanical strength, adhesiveness to a polarizing film and optical anisotropy, and to provide a polarizing plate having the protective film. <P>SOLUTION: An optical isotropic protective film for a polarizing film is provided, which is formed of an acrylic thermoplastic resin including: a first structural unit by 50 to 95 mass% comprising a methacrylic acid monomer and a methacrylate monomer; a second structural unit by 0.1 to 20 mass% comprising N-substituted maleimide compound having an N-substituted group consisting of an aryl group or an arylalkyl group; and a third structural unit by 0.1 to 49.9 mass% comprising a N-substituted maleimide compound having an N-substituted group consisting of an alkyl group or a cycloalkyl group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
