<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin modifier that improves impact resistance of a thermoplastic resin without diminishing mechanical properties, such as heat resistance and a flexural modulus. <P>SOLUTION: The resin modifier (Y) for a thermoplastic resin (D) containing a block polymer (X) composed of a block of a polycarbonate (a) and a block of a polycarbodiimide (b) is disclosed.
