PROVIDED INFORMATION SELECTING DEVICE, METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the selection precision of information unknown and appropriate to a group by reducing the problem of trade-off between information unknown and appropriate to the group and inappropriate information.

SOLUTION: Preference information of an individual belonging to a group and data for information provision are retrieved from a memory to calculate preference scores of the individual for the retrieved data for information provision. On the basis of the data for information provision and behavior history data, a degree of selection tendency of the designated group for the data for information provision is calculated. Feature vectors of the data for information provision and information indicative of behavior histories are calculated on the basis of the calculated preference scores of respective individuals and the degree of selection tendency of the group, and similarities between the feature vectors are obtained, and data for information provision corresponding to recommendation scores whose similarities of feature vectors calculated with respect to respective pieces of data for information provision exceed a threshold is selected as data appropriate to the group.
