<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side part impact absorbing device of a vehicle that can reduce input to a waist in the latter half of side impact. <P>SOLUTION: The side part impact absorbing device 10 of the vehicle includes a door trim 18, an impact bar 20, an impact absorbing member 30, and a side airbag 50. A cutout 32 opened up is formed in the area including the part lapping in the vehicle side view with a lower end 52 of developed side airbag 50 of impact absorbing members 30. The door trim 18 has a fragile part 24 formed in the part lapping with the cutout 32 in the vehicle side view. In the latter half of the collision, breaking occurs from the fragile part 24 as a starting point by the shearing force of the input from the impact bar 20 and the reaction force from the side airbag 50, and the input from the side airbag 50 to ilium 62a on the back of the occupant and belly lower part 64 are reduced. The occupant waist can be restrained at an early stage in the first half of the side impact by installing a projection 40 in a part lapping with the impact bar 20 in the vehicle side view of the impact absorbing member 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
