<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a carbamate compound, which is simple and industrially suitable. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes reacting an amine compound and a carbonate compound in the presence of a hydrolytic enzyme catalyst and in the absence of a solvent.
