<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater for a heating furnace which is used regardless of heating temperatures and ambient conditions of products to be heated or sintered. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a first heater pipe body 20, a second heater pipe body 22, a third heater pipe body 24, a fourth heater pipe body 26, and a fifth heater pipe body 28 of a heater for a heating furnace 10 has a cover pipe 30, a first supporter 32, and a second supporter 34. A gas passage 32A and a water passage 32B are formed in the first supporter 32 so as to penetrate therethrough, and a gas passage 34A and a water passage 34B are formed in the second supporter 34 so as to penetrate therethrough. A carbon body 42 serving as a heating unit is disposed in an intermediate part of each cover pipe 30.
