COATER BLADE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coater blade and a method for manufacturing the coater blade having excellent wear resistance, maintaining an excellent coating profile and coating surface feeling and preventing a coating defect such as a streak.

SOLUTION: The coater blade 1 for coating a web 3 with a coating solution includes a coating part 15 of a cutting edge part 10 coming in sliding contact with the web 3. The coating part 15 includes a first main surface coating part 16 for covering a first main surface U; a tapered surface coating part 18 covering a tapered surface 11a; and an intermediate coating part 17 formed by chamfering an angular part between the outer surface 16a of the first main surface coating part 16 and the outer surface 18a of the tapered surface coating part 18. The thickness of the tapered surface coating part 18 is 40 to 135 μm.
