The method involves determining the setting data for setting the centrifugal discs (5) and/or drive elements (4) of the centrifugal discs and for setting the task area of the manure distributor. The evaluation process is performed for setting delivery surface of manure distributor with respect to centrifugal discs and/or drive elements towards wind facing side corresponding to large throwing range of manure. Task area of manure distributor with respect to centrifugal discs and/or drive elements along leeward side is set corresponding to small throwing range of manure. An independent claim is included for a centrifugal manure distributor.
